Thornhayes Annual Apple Display
As usual we have an array of apples on display at the nursery for customers to examine and fruits on hand for sampling. The display is not as extensive as most years, as the crop this year has been rather patchy due to poor weather in mid May. In many ways this is useful for customers, as it proves what we say about the reliability of certain varieties to always come up with the goods, no matter what. The weather pattern of this year has also caused early ripening. Some of the earlier varieties of apple have been ready to eat a month before their usual season, though the later ones have seemed to settle down to normality.Do come and look at the display during our usual visiting hours Also we have for sale bottles of Thornhayes Orchards cider and apple juice.
